The explosives used as auxiliary explosives are less sensitive than the primary high explosives that are employed in initiators, primers, and detonators. However, they are generally more sensitive than those high explosives used as filler charges or bursting explosives. As high explosives used for booster purposes, they fall in the intermediate range of sensitivity.
